Nautilus ID00177 - S. Lassiter

These are the last words of Dr Spencer Lassiter, genetics and microbiology specialist, ID num 00177 of the exploration vessel USS Nautilus.We crashed in planet 4546B 256 cycles ago, and I was the only survivor. Others were able to escape before the crash, but all of them were hunted by the diverse predators of the region few minutes after their emergency landing.After examining the bacterium plaguing this planet I found out that it grows much faster and stronger when left in isolation than when it is free on any of the biomes. I assumed that some kind of interaction between the flora or fauna was debilitating the bacterium somehow. That naturally brought me to study, breed and dissect all the native species in hopes to be able to find a cureUnfortunately the bacterium cannot be eliminated. At best it could be sunk into a lethargic stasis for some time (undetectable to scanners). But eventually it would wake again and adapt immunity to the serum.All hope is lost
